honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear PFC Patrick Murphy, Thank you for your service as a Mortarman. The 53rd anniversary of the start of your tour just passed. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the 7th Day of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Brave and Young

I served with Murphy and was with him and Danny Sainato when Murphy was killed and Sainato wounded. I was the hospital corpsman with them in the middle of a mine field with enemy mortars hitting us. Murphy and Sainato were clearing the mines. They stood their ground and were brave. From "The Soldier's Song"
"When they come I will stand my ground.
I will stand my ground and not be afraid."
Brave and Young.
