THE WALL OF FACES

I thank you so much Major for the sacrifice you have given for my freedom. I have worn your bracelet since 2005 and I cannot even begin to tell you what it has meant to....

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Big Daddy was a co-pilot on a March AFB crew and I was an A/C on another March crew. His roommate at March was my navigator Rob Howe III. We were all single so we did the social things. I was in Blue (2) cell just behind Scarlet (3) cell the night he and Blue 1 were shot down. Big Daddy was a friend and a good person. We miss his jolly laugh.

I never got to meet you

Maj Bennett, I was given your MIA bracelet in 2005, little did I know how much it would change my life. I wish I had known you. Maybe one day we will meet. But until then I will continue to pray that you will make it home.
