I was at Riverside, Cal, and McClatchy. I was a half a grade ahead. I knew you as a peaceful man. Why you were a medic. RIP

Every May I remember serving with you Doc. Wasn't there when you die but felt the pain when I heard about about what happened. Peace be with you and see you soon.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush

Specialist Four Philip Mark Bennett was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as a Medical Corpsman (Combat Medic) and was assigned to the 3RD PLT, HHC, 1ST BN, 14TH INFANTRY, 4TH INF DIV.
