Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC William Guy Muir, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

God Bless You Bill

I grew up with Bob and Bill Muir. We lived a few blocks apart and went to school, grades 1-12 in Eugene. My girlfriend and I were with Bill the week end before he left for Viet Nam. We were at a neighborhood gathering on Potter St. What a fun young man with such a good sense of humor, not to mention so handsome. We attended his funeral and I will never forget that day. Mainly, I will always hold my dear friend in my heart. God Bless the family.
