REMEMBRANCES

LEFT FOR CARL FRANCIS MOWERY

Your brother-in-law

I can't believe you have been gone for 44 years. We had such wonderful times together. I know that your name was Carl, but I always called you Franci until you got older and wanted to be called Carl. I will never forget the time I left you borrow our 1964 Chevrolet convertible to drive to school. Iknow how much fun you had drving the car that day and I am really glad that I will always have that memory of the joy it brought to you. I am very proud of you Franci for serving our Country and giving your life for our freedom. Your really felt more like a brother than a brother-in-law. I love you and miss you very much. Larry

From Your sister, Joni

I can't believe that you have been gone 44 years, because you are still in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I can still see the smile that was always on your face. You were the most kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone. We have always been very proud of you.

I love you,
Joni.

[Franci was the fifth of nine children (Bobby, Joni, Kathy, Danny, Franci, Tommy (who fought in VietNam just months after Franci was killed), Judy, Betsy and Patty) born to Bob and MaryAnn (Foley) Mowery. He was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. A student at St. Bernard's Catholic Grade School and North High School. He was very proud of his first job at the brand new restaurant, 'McDonald's'. Franci joined the Marines right from High School. He had a military funeral and was buried in St. Bernard's Cemetary (Springfield, Ohio).]
