Thank You

Dear PFC Irvin Mosley, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I researched you on your 73rd birthday, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is 3rd Week of Advent, and this week means joy. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Honoring my brother in arms.

I can see him squinting in the sun leaning on his car so strong and young, a cigarette tucked behind his ear. Laughing out loud with his sister and me - not a care as far as we could see - it was the summer of James Dean for me that year. Just a small town boy in Army greens swapped his riflefor some angel's wings when he lost his life far too soon that day. I hope you hear me singing this song I wrote for you. I think it helped Mary Ann heal a little. You are a hero to us all.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Irvin William Mosley, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
