Thank You

Dear Sp4 William Morgan, Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified Infantryman. The 55th anniversary of the start of your tour is soon. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is 2nd Week of Advent, and this week means peace. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Christmas Day 1965

We landed in Saigon Christmas Day 1965, spent that night at Camp Alpha. Flew to An Khe the next Day. Scotty went to Alpha Co 1/7 Cav I went HHC 2d Bde, 1st Cav. Our DEROS was 23 Dec 1966. Aug-Dec 1966 was bad. We lost a lot of great guys. He made it to Nov 7, I made it home in Dec. Scotty was a fine brave soldier and a great friend with an unforgettable sense of humor. Never forgotten after 52 years.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 William S MorganII, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
