honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just two days after your 22nd birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Remembered

DEAR PFC BENN,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN ASSAULTMAN. SEMPER FI. I HATE THAT YOU DIED SO CLOSE TO YOUR BIRTHDAY, NOT THAT ANY OTHER TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. IT IS 2017, WHICH MAKES IT FAR TOO LONG FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE.
