THE WALL OF FACES

I was with Dave at boot camp and the Language Institute in Monterey CA before we were sent to Viet Nam.We were in the same unit there. I left Viet Nam in July 1968 and I heard that Dave was killed in December. He was a good man and was liked by everyone. He was brave and a Marine's Marine and he believed in what we were doing there. He was corresponding with a friend of mine named Connie when I left. I think they had become friends. He will not be forgotten.

Dear CPL David Ned Moore, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
