In Memory of Those Who Never Came Home

I only met Vincent once as a young boy. I knew his relatives that lived in the town of Cucamonga, Ca. I was about the same age as Vincent(one year older). I was drafted in 1966 & served in Vietnam with the illustrious 1st Cavalry Division(Oct 66-Oct 67). Hollywood has made a movie of this unit("We Were Solders"/a true story). I came home from the war & I heard that Vincent had been killed there. Vincent's relatives were affected greatly by his death. My deep condolences to all those who knew & loved this young patriot-soldier. I came home from the war feeling empty & yet thankful to live in America. I love my country. I began soul-searching & in 1973, I had an encounter with God that changed my life. I gave my life to serve Jesus Christ & the Gospel message. The Lord gave me His peace & even 30 years later, it continues in my heart.
