We arrived in the field about the same time. My memory is a little foggy but I believe he was a medic and volunteered to be a grunt because we were running low . I remember him saying he wanted to be a doctor when he got back home. We got along, were friendly towards one another. Talked about this and that. I was returning to the unit after a few weeks at the local hospital and met up with a couple of guys from the unit while waiting for a flight and they told me about his death. You never know the depth of feeling you have for a person until you lose them . I really felt a loss at Chooch's passing. I feel it to this day. God bless you Chooch.

Dear PFC Charles Molano, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. I researched you on your 53rd anniversary. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Veterans’ Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
