Back in Time.

I go back in time everyday with my PTSD,an many visits have been made to the day you were taken by a 500 lb booby trapped bomb in the road. You were blown so high to the heavens only smoldering black flesh fell to earth in a blob.I put your remains in the cooler to be shipped with many visits to your remains during the nite.I've never forgot that day an never will for you my friend are my hero an best buddy i had in Nam.Scottys what you told me to call you an Scotty was what i knew.I've tried to find your loved ones with no avail, someday maybe I will.God bless you Scotty an thanks for bein my best friend......spec 4 Barry Goforth.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear Mr. John E Mitchell Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
