Our Best Man
Donnie,
August the 12, 2018 was Bill and my 52 wedding anniversary. We had Billy as you know, and then 10 years later Jessica. Jess was born with red hair. What I want to tell you about are Carmie and Kinley, our two granddaughters. They never met you but they love you as much as if they had. We go as a family ever Memorial Day and Veterans day to put a flag on your grave and to give you a kiss. We started when they were about 3 and 5. They are now 11 and 13. Donnie you are the uncle they never knew, but they love you dearly. You will never before gotten. Bill misses you and always will. I know you are watching over him now just like you always did.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Donald Wayne Mitchell, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
