DEAR LIEUTENANT COLONEL BELNAP,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN AIRBORNE QUALIFIED INFANTRY UNIT COMMANDER. IT IS 2017, WHICH MAKES IT FAR TOO LONG FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE.

Thank you!
I never had the pleasure of meeting you, my father-in-law, but I feel like I know you to some extent because of the man you raised your son, Doug, to be. You would be so proud of who he is and the two sons who he has raised.... both with the life lessons that you taught him and the characteristics you instilled in him. I feel as though I know the man of integrity, loyalty and honor that you were... when I look at him. Thank you for giving me such an awesome man to share my life with. I only wish I could have known you!
