Just words
In high school during the 70's, I bought the MIA bracelet of Capt. Mims. 50+ years later, I still wear it for a couple of weeks around Memorial Day but it predominantly sits on a shelf next to my desk so I can remember everyday that my ability to do what I do has come at a cost. Though my heart continues to break for your family and the life you had barely started living, thank you, Capt. Mims.

Bracelet
I never met Capt. Mims but I wore his POW/MIA bracelet for about 6 years and prayed for him frequently. I still think of him all these years later and am grateful that I can now put a face with my thoughts.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
I got my bracelet in the early 70's when I was in my early teens. Capt. George I. Mims was listed as MIA at that time and reading the remembrances I see he never made it home. I no longer wear the bracelet but say a silent prayer every time I see it in my jewelry box. I had hope he would one day return to his wife and family. I'm heartbroken to see that was not the case. I hope you are resting in peace.
