Thank You

Dear Cpl Johnnie Miller, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Columbus Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Best Friend

Johnnie and were best friends from 1st Grade until his death. We double dated many times, dated the same girls and went to Senior Prom together. His mom called me 1st after they were notified he was KIA. I have a bronze plack honoring him in my Cobra Replica.

High School Friend

Johnnie and I went to the same high school and had Student Council together. He was a couple of years older and way cooler but was always friendly, kind and considerate....just a great guy. I was devastated when I heard of his death, shortly after my graduation. This picture of him is just the way I remember him. Forever young. My Dad and brother were Marines, and I was planning to follow their tradition, but after hearing about Johnnie, I decided to join the Navy. Who knows, maybe Johnnie saved my life. I miss you buddy. Rest In Peace.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Johnnie Robert Miller, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
