I Remember Your Sacrifice

Pfc. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-PFC. Mendez died by accidental homicide on 2-1-1971 while serving as a Vehicle Material Supply Specialist with the 149th S&S Co. of the 26th GS Group, Army Support Command, Danang, 1st Logistical Command. Pfc. Mendez started his tour of Vietnam on 7-4-1970. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Mendez of Carolina, Puerto Rico.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Walter.

Thank You

Dear PFC Walter Mendez, I really hope your photo is found and put here because this wall of faces needs yours. Thank you for your service as a Vehicle Material Supply Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. POW/MIA Recognition Day just passed, and yesterday was the first day of autumn. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

You are not Forgotten

Walter: You gave the Ultimate Sacrifice.
If any Family members or Friends of Walter reads this, I am looking for a Picture of him to send to W.DC. For the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
It would be nice to have a Picture of him to put with his Name.
