Thank You

Dear Sp4 Erineo Mendez, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. POW/MIA Recognition Day just passed, and yesterday was the first day of autumn. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Erineo

I wish I could love you back. I was only 2 when you died. But, you loved me, changed my diapers, played with me and always looked for me so you could hold me. What did you like and dislike? What was your favorite color? Did you have a girlfriend? What was her name? How tall were you? I look at your picture now and still feel that love you implanted on me when I was a baby. And it hurts. Can you read this Uncle Erineo? When it's my time to go home to Heaven, I'll be looking for you and abuelito. You give that old man of ours a big hug and kiss for me. Tell him I miss him to.

Love Always,
Your Niece
Debbie
