A Hero Remembered Tonight

Tonight I am thinking of you tonight SFC Charles L. Adkins. I am wearing your red bracelet right now that has your name on it. You are not forgotten. No matter how much time passes you will always be remembered. I never knew you. I was not alive when the War took place. I have never been to Ohio in my life but I love my country and I truly appreciate what we have. When I look at my 8 month old daughter I know it is because of brave men like you that we as Americans can appreciate such freedoms. I will be thinking of you when I attend my regular 10:30AM Sunday mass at St. Brigid of Kildare. God Bless America and God Bless this American Hero.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SFC Charles Leroy Adkins, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
