Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

You Are Not Forgotten
Todd, it's been over 31 years since you and the others took off on that last mission. But for the grace of God I would have been on the crew for the extra mission. You were a great linguist, and a terrific NCO. Sleep well, my friend. You will always be remembered.

Memorial Day, 2002
To Todd and the other crewmembers of Baron 52 - you are in our thoughts often and especially on this Memorial Day. Two weeks ago, this plaque was dedicated in Memorial Park at the U.S. Air Force Museum to the memory of you and the others who gave their lives in the EC-47 mission.
Thank you again for your ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. You are missed.

My best friend
Todd was my best friend as we were growing up together. When he left for Vietnam, I was off for college, unfortunately we kind of lost touch with each other. I do remember sending him one letter, and I now regret and will always fell bad about not keeping in better touch. I have never forgotten Todd to this date and never will. Rest well Todd!

"Latest Info on Todd Melton as requested by Benjamin Pennell."
Re: Todd Melton. While doing some research on a friend of mine who died in Vietnam, I came upon the requet from Ben Pennell on "latest" information on Todd Melton. According to a book from "Task Force Omega Inc., the remains were recovered in 1993, and identified in 1995. The book also indicates that the family did not take possession of the remains. I have been informed by others that this particular source of information is sometimes inaccurate. Several men died on that same aircraft. I did not know Todd Melton, but I knew Peter Cressman and was acquainted with a few of the others. May they all rest in peace.
