THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

We grew up across the street from each other in Albany until Frankie moved away, I believe when we were nine or so. We lost touch as I went away to university and Frankie went into the Army. I remember him as a terrific kid and he came from a wonderful, "American dream" family. An American hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knowing your happy is all we need to know as we remember you this Memorial Day.
Thanks ever so immensely for your greatest sacrifice.
