Remembering Jim

Jim was my best friend in basic training at Fort Jackson,Sc, C-6_2. He was an all around great guy and we had a lot of good times together. He always referred to himself as the "Flushing Wild Man" and we both preteneded that nothing could happen to us. There is a song called the Green Fields of France about WWI and Pvt Willie McBride who was killed there. I always cry when I play it on my guitar when I substitue Jimmy Meehan in the lyrics for Willie McBride. A waste of a good man.
