My Brother
He was a honorable man who loved his country and believed it was his calling to fight for this country. I met some of the men who served with him and I know now that he gave his life to save all of them. Eugene (as all of his family called him) was point man for his platoon and when they came up on enemy fire, his platoon leader told them to move back 50 meters, but instead of doing that he went to the ground and started firing his weapon so that the men could pull back. To me he is a hero who saved the men of his platoon. Thank you my dear brother for this great thing you did. You will never be forgotten for what you did.
