Always remembered

Kenneth enlisted in the Army right after graduating and attended Officer's Training School in Fort Rucker, AL.

Kenneth had 12 living brothers and sisters: Roland, Maurice, Nancy Robertson,Avis Ketchum, Kathleen Atwood, David, Ronald, Roger, Roderick, Bernard, Julianne Pearson, Joanne Epsen.

Kenneth graduated from Valley HS, Bingham, ME in 1963. He was a star athlete in baseball and basketball all 4 years of high school. He was also selected to sing in the KV Chorus and All State chorus for 4 years. He had a great voice!

If I had to pick one thing that Ken was most proud of I would say his parents and his brothers and sisters. He truly loved his family and was an amazing son. I am sure that he would have been doing great things with his life and he would have been an amazing father because he loved little kids and they just flocked to him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I remember

Joseph was killed in the same attack on Camp Holloway, Pleiku, on Feb. 7, 1965, in which I was seriously wounded. We were both from Maine, but I didn't know him before the attack. I remember how his parents were quoted in the newspaper over the loss of their son. I remember him and other Maine sons lost in Vietnam.
