While I was at the Advance Non-Commission Officers Academy at Fort Benning Ga. 1984, during a class, they were showing us live footage from Vietnam. The unit was having a memorial service for some soldiers who had been killed in an Ambush, and they were calling out the names of the soldiers who were killed, and they called out Edmund Masterson, and I almost dropped to the floor in shock, I had no idea that Edmund had been killed in Vietnam, but I knew I hadn't seen or heard from him in years, it really shocked me.
