Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Mark Sylvester Behrent, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Our Dear Son

It has been 36 months since you left us darling son and we miss you more each day.
One day we will all be together again. We love you dearly and our hearts are still heavy with grief.
God is good and we know He needed you to help Him. He always picks His most beautiful flowers first. We miss you so much but we know you are safe now with God. We are proud of you & will love you always. Mom & Dad.

My Brother

Mark,
I miss you and wish we could have had more time together. In the 12 years I knew you, I laughed, loved, cried, and learned with you. I know we will meet sometime again soon. Then is when we will share our life as lived here on earth. I have had an emptiness in my heart for you my big brother and wish things could have been different, but as we all know God has his plan for everyone and we are not to question that plan. I miss you Mark and love you and when my special sunset comes I will see you then.
