Fellow Warrior and Friend

I only knew Phillip a few weeks as his combat instructor and friend, but I have thought of him many times since and his ultimate sacrifice. God bless him, his memory and his family. It was an honor to have served with him.

God Bless an Old Friend

May the lord watch over Phillip and someday may there be an accounting for his family. May he also watch over Gary and Agatha and the rest of Mascari family

Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Never Forget

I,too, received an MIA/POW bracelet in 1972 with Major Mascari's name. I wore it so long I had to put nail polish on the underside where it had worn down. I keep the bracelet to honor all the men and women of the Viet Nam war...those who came home, as well as those who did not. I pray America never forgets their sacrifice.
