My friend, my savior. (A person who rescues another from harm, danger, or loss.)
Jean and I served together in Vietnam. He most certainly saved my life. He might have given his for mine. He visited his wife in Hawaii on R&R. They had decided she would not bring the child he hadn't yet seen. My R&R was due but no paperwork had been sent out. He checked at my request and hand carried my orders out to the field. He got off one chopper and I grabbed my ruck and jumped on the next. I was scheduled to run the recon mission the following morning, and since I was now on leave, Jean ran the mission. Jean was an outstanding soldier and a good friend to me. I have missed him and I thank him. Blessings to all his family. Sgt. Joe M. Cummings Visit: VietnamJC.com - Email: [email protected]

honoring you....
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You
Dear Sgt Jean Martin, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Father’s Day just passed, and it’s summer. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
