Dear Ssgt Thomas Marshall, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. The 51st anniversary of the start of your tour just passed. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Father’s Day just passed, and it’s summer. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I sadly do not know him but I found his gas mask case/bag in a military surplus store and I saw his name on the back of the bag, and I had to do some research and I found this page thank you for your service Thomas and may you rest in peace

I was in 8th grade when the announcement came over the PA system that Lakeview had lost an alumni to the Vietnam War. There was total silence in the classroom. A moment of silent prayer was held for you, & your family. There was shock, disbelief, & tears. Many of us knew you, or your siblings. At that moment, the war became very real to us. The sacrifice made by so many men & women became so very real to us. You gave all, & some of us will never forget that. We will never forget you. Rest in Heaven, Tommy.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Thomas.
