LCDR JAMES BEENE 10-05-66
Today as I went through my jewelry box I found the precious MIA/POW bracelet that was given to me in high school. I wore this all through college as I protested the Viet Nam War praying for all the POW/MIA's safe return. Well I am now 59 years old and have lost a son of my own. No one knows the pain in a mother's heart when she has lost a precious child. I cannot imagine the pain when you are not even sure of his current existence. I would like to return this bracelet to any family member of his so they could now wear it proudly as I once did. Please if anyone reads this who is related contact me by email and I will see that you get this. This belongs in his family as a reminder of the courageous, selfless man he was. I will always appreciate his courage and dedication to protecting the country he so believed in! My husband served in the USN and fortunately he made it home safely. I can only hope that Lieutenant Commander Beene also did!!

IN APPRECIATION & HONOR
I wore LCDR James Alvin Beene's MIA bracelet proudly and with hope for all my high school and most of my college years . I loved him as though he were my own brother and I prayed for him and his family daily. I will continue to honor and appreciate the sacrifice of both. If anyone in his family would like to have the bracelet, I would be honored to send it to you as my gift for sharing him with me. May God's blessings flow over you abundantly. In His Grip,
Terri Lee King
