THE WALL OF FACES

We never met, but I remember vividly reading about your death in the Portsmouth Herald. It saddened me that someone so young had lost his life. I have thought about you often as the subject of Viet Nam continued to be a factor in American life. It is still talked about today as a great tragedy in our history, but that does not minimize the sacrifices made by so many young people such as yourself. Thank you.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Rest in peace. You were a good friend in high school.

Hi Andre, you never met me, of course, but you are remembered and loved by all of us. Our families were great friends and you are always talked about fondly. I’ll be visiting you tomorrow, in DC. Thank you for your service.

On the remembrance of your 72nd birthday, your sacrifice is not forgotten.
