Thank You

Dear Pvt Craig Maratta, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but it is an unusual time. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Fellow Soldier

Craig we went thru basic at Ft Dix and AIT at Ft Polk together. You were always a tower of strength. You went to Nam, I followed shortly thereafter. As fate would have it we were both assigned to 1st Bn 20th Inf., you to Bravo and me to Charlie Co. You hit a trip wire and ascended to Heaven, days later I hit an ambush and sunk to the depths of Hell before God yanked me back. I have always wondered why I made it and you didn't

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PVT Craig Maratta, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

For PVTE2 Craig MARATTA, USA...Another of Coraopolis's bravest of heroes, who gave his all for us!!!

He loved us so.

Evwery day, in a hundred ways, he told us so.

In honesty, in affection, he told us so.

He loved us so.

Every day, in a hundred ways, he showed us so.

With loyalty and bravery, he sbhowed us so.

He was our defender, and he kept us free!

He took an oath to guard us, and fought for liberty!

He loved us so, and we should know.

For we loved him so.

Private Maratta, you had given all to defdend liberty everywhere! You had been there and done that in Vietnam! You fought for the right, without question or pause! I strongly believe that Avonmore's own Jill Corey, whom I greatly admire as one of my three top favorite sonmgbirds of all time, the others being Julie Andrews, England's musical grande dame, and Dusty Springfield, another thruash from England who passed on some years ago, would be very proud of your service to America, and the sacrifices made by you to keep our country free! Well done, Soldier! Be thou at peace. ARMY STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
