honoring you.....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Thomas Malloy, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but it is an unusual time. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

We Remember

Tom was a few years older than I was but I remember him as a kid manning the fires at the little league skating pond. I was saddened when I was still in High School and learned of his death. He was an infantryman with E CO, 4th BN, 12th Infantry, 199th Light Infantry brigade. His unit saw a lot off hostile action when they relocated to the Bien Hoa area, his platoon was flown in to a hot LZ which had been cleared for reinforcements to A & B CO after two days of heavy combat. The courage and bravery of these men is hard to imagine, Tom was killed while advancing on an entrenched enemy bunker complex. His sense of duty and dedication to his country will never be forgotten. RIP
