Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Paul Edward Maleszewski, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

Gone too soon
I remember you as a teenager riding your motorcycle over to spend the weekend with us. You had the sweetest smile and infectious laugh. You had such a great life in front of you. You were taken from your family too soon. You are not forgotten.

Holidays were the worse
Not a day goes by that I don't think of Paul. Mom and I missed him most around the holidays. I can not think of anyone more loyal than Paul. As his brother Ed said, "miss you brother." Ed and Paul had the same Father. Paul and I had the same Mother and grew up together.
