Ground Casualty
Nha Be Logistics Support Base was a U.S. Navy and Republic of Vietnam Navy (RVNN) base in Nha Be District near Saigon in Gia Dinh Province, RVN. The base was located approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of the city at the junction of the Soai Rap and Long Tau Rivers. On April 14, 1971, a Navy Seabee equipment operator, EOCN Thomas E. Mackey from Detachment Nha Be, Naval Support Activity Saigon, U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam, was removing a tree on base when it toppled on him. He was fatally injured in the incident. we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
