Sorry I couldn't do more

That day when I was handing you that 50lb. TnT shape charge an our arms were interlocked, an then the mine went off, I, Iam so sorry I couldn't of held onto your arms tighter as it blew up an we faced each other, eye to eye as I was blown out of the back hatch of my APC 100 ft from it..... I could of saved you... RIP I Stand And Slow Salute to you.

Dear Lt Douglas Mabee, Thank you for your service as an Armored Reconnaissance Unit Commander. Your 74th birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Memorial Day weekend, but like none other. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
