Silver Star Medal Award

Captain James Michael Lyon was awarded the Silver Star Medal, with Oak Leaf Cluster, for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as a Pilot and Field Artillery Unit Commander. He was assigned to HHC, 2ND BDE, 101ST ABN DIV.
