I think of you this time of year especially. I have a lump in my throat as I wonder what your life you’ll have been like if you hadn’t been killed at such a young age…would you have had children? I’m sure you would because you loved babies. I know life has gone on for us left behind but I think of you so often. I love you so, I pray heaven comes soon for me so I can be with you.

Sergeant Stephen Michael Lynch was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist and was assigned to B TRP, 7TH SQDN, 1ST CAVALRY, 1ST AVIATION BDE.

Dear Sgt Stephen Lynch, Thank you for your service with the 1st Aviation Brigade with the 1st Cavalry. Your 70th birthday is soon, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Memorial Day is this weekend, but like none other. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
