honoring you...
War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

My buddy
The worst day of my life was when I lost Luna. We were both in the platoon headquarters and became very closed. I remember of a picture he showed me of his motorcycle. His sister had sent to him just before we lost him. He was very proud of his family. I lost him right in front of of my eyes along with Thomas Murray and Ralph Maney. I will never forget 3/22/68.

Thank You
Dear Sgt Robert Luna, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantry Direct Fire Crewman. Yesterday was your 74th birthday, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. 45 years ago today was the last day of battle – Mayaguez Incident. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
