Will never forget the day!

Dear Barry, I will never forget that day or what I was doing when I heard the news that your chopper had been shot down! You were such a close friend of our family--my brother's best friend from childhood! My brother had just returned from Vietnam in May! What devastating news! Now your name lives on through my brothers oldest son, Barry! Thank you, Barry, for being the person you were! You and Don are enjoying your friendship in Heaven today as we mark Memorial Day and we remember, not just today but everyday! Barry, you are loved and you are missed!

Remembered

DEAR WARRANT OFFICER BECANNEN,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN UTILITY & LIGHT CARGO SINGLE ROTOR HELICOPTER PILOT. I HATE THAT YOU DIED SO CLOSE TO YOUR BIRTHDAY, NOT THAT ANY TIME WOULD BE BETTER. .IT IS THE EPIPHANY. AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU. IT IS NEW YEAR, WHICH MAKES IT FAR TOO LONG FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE.
