Remembering a kid on the block.
I lived a few houses away from Chipper ( his nickname) on Hubbell Ave in Beacon Falls , CT. Before he joined the Army I remember playing baseball with Chip, building gigantic snow forts and riding bikes across a bridge that would later bear his name. I was home the day the Army drove up our small street to tell his family he was killed in action. I recall my Mother crying when she saw the uniformed soldiers knocking on his families door. He was young...20 yrs old. I was 15. Still remember you Chip. RIP.
