A shared grief..

May he rest in eternal peace and know that We will Never Forget!

I am trying to get in touch with any friend or member of Spec4 Gilbert Thomas Beaupre's ('Frenchy') family or friends...My husband Spec4 Thomas 'Beeb' Chambers also served in Alpha Co..2/22nd 25th Infantry...they had previously been together in Co. 'C' 1st BN of the 5th mech before they were sent to the 2/22nd in Cu Chi in August of 1967....I believe from the letters I have from my husband, that my husband and 'Frenchy' were great friends in Vietnam...My husband was wounded and sent to Tokyo in September of 67....he was returned to Vietnam in late October of 67 and died on December 16, 1967 from injuries he received on December 15, 1967. Please don't hesitate to contact me....

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Gilbert Thomas Beaupre, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
