honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

I wish I had known you Al

I just missed you by a few months at Chelsea Naval. I would think you were on ward D. Most guys with stomach wounds were on ward D. I left there in July I967 to finish my enlistment in the USMC.
You sure were a great inspiration to everyone.
God Bless Alan

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Alan Seamans, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I miss you Al

As a kid Al was incredibly inspirational to me. I mean, here was a guy with no legs killing it on a snow machine and deer hunting with a crossbow out the window of his truck. There was nothing Al couldn't do if he put his mind to it. Even though he was much older than me, I was honored to call him a friend. Now, decades later, he has long since passed, but tomorrow I will be using his story to hopefully inspire a couple of hundred 8th graders with my weekly Character Education lesson. Rest in peace, my friend...you are still an inspiration to me.

Your Legacy

As a fellow Vietnam Veteran, I want to say you made the ultimate sacrifice. But your true legacy is the life you lived after returning from Vietnam. Your legacy is one of determination, living life to the fullest and as a positive example for friends and relatives as seen in the love and admiration of all who interacted with you.
