Fellow Marine & Baseball Teammate
Although we did not serve in the same Marine unit, we were in Viet Nam at the same time. I was wounded and left RVN on a stretcher on 4/21/67. I came to know Lowell at Mt. Vernon TWP. High School. We played baseball on the same team in the summer leagues; he was one of the best left-handed pitchers around. Had he lived I truly believe he could have played pro ball. This year, 2003, Memorial Day will be celebrated on the day he died. You are gone Lowell, but you are not forgotten.
