Michael Lipsius died too young
I went through basic training with a Michael Lipsius at Fort Lewis Washington, Company D-3-1, starting on September 27, 1967. I believe that this is the Mike Lipsius listed on The Wall. We were not close friends, but he was a fine guy with a willing attitude and a friendly manner. I am looking at my Basic training platoon photo as I write this and I cannot believe that he died only a few months after the photo was taken. I hope his family has peace, he was far too young to die as he did.
