do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You
I noticed a headstone on the church grounds the other day. It read Melvin Lipscomb. I inquired about it and found that it was my great grandfather's brother, but what brought me here was my dad telling me about another Melvin Lipscomb who passed in the Vietnam War. My dad said the two of you were the only Lipscomb boys at his high school and you were buddies. I believe we are related somehow.
Thank you SP4 Lipscomb, family, for your bravery and service. Salute!
