THE WALL OF FACES

In a special ceremony on 15 November 2018 at the Captain Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Alexandria, VA, the Gold Star family members of MIA 1LT Lawrence Eugene Lilly unveiled his name beneath a Gold Star on the Versace Memorial. An "Air Force Brat," Larry Lilly enlisted in the U.S. Army from Alexandria, VA in June, 1968. His Air Force officer father had already received PCS orders to Okinawa. Thus, Larry Lilly wrote "Los Angeles, CA" - the home of an aunt - on his Army form for his DoD "Home of Record."

MIA 1LT Lawrence Eugene Lilly has his name chiseled into one of the "Courts of the Missing" at the Honolulu Memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii. See the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) website at this link:

This photograph of 1LT Larry Lilly in Vietnam standing next to his AH-1G "Cobra" provided by his younger sister. 1LT Lilly is remains MIA and is one of 1,597 members of the U.S. Armed Forces still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia (SEA) from the Vietnam War (statistics as of 28 May 2018).
