honoring you...

Remember to save for them a place inside of you, and save one backward glance when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go...

Thank You

Dear WO Ephriam Liles, Thank you for your service as an Utility/Observation Helicopter Pilot with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is Easter Tuesday, and Passover. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering a friend

Rut was my counselor at Camp Greenville, the Greenville YMCA summer camp, in 1963 and 1964. He was only a few years older than we were but became our good friend and mentor. He was clean cut and an excellent athlete. I think football was his favorite sport. He played high school ball and was a great player and coach. I was a counselor there in 1969 when we got word of his death in Vietnam. A plaque was placed at Pretty Place, the camp chapel, in his memory. He was mourned by all of his camp friends. I still have great memories of a good friend, gone but not forgotten.

Pickens Memories

So good to see Rut remembered here...I have precious memories of him and his family as he grew up, we lived in the same small town and attended Grace Methodist Church together. Rut always was such a happy guy, had a great smile! Its hard to believe so many years have passed, but Rut is fondly remembered by many.
