Jim was my friend
I went to Nicolet High School with Jim and played in the great concert and marching bands with him. He was the finest high school trumpeter in the state. He was also a naturally gifted athlete and hunter. I never once came close to beating him at ping pong. He smiled readily and often and I never heard him utter a cross word. When I joined the Air Force, I sold my motorcycle to him which was the last time I saw him. Naturally, he was smiling. I'll never forget him for he was my friend. I miss him.
