To my big Terry Bear
It's been almost 49 years since you exited that chopper in a recovery mission on the wrong side and ran directly into the sniper's sites. After all these years in denial, I'm at my first TAPS event, and your loss is still add great as in the first few days.
I an hoping our precious daughter, Amy, has found her way to TAPS or Sons and Daughters In Touch and has gotten the help and loving acceptance one of the these organizations.
Through my interactions with some of the surviving children of Vietnam veterans, I am just beginning to understand how deeply Amy has been affected by her loss in not knowing you. And in my ignorance of her pain. Maybe one day she'll read this and find it in her heart to forgive me.
